At Optimal Health Lab, we understand that not all pain is visible—and not all recovery is linear. Our physiotherapy team is deeply committed to supporting individuals living with persistent pain and invisible illnesses such as fibromyalgia, endometriosis, chronic fatigue syndrome, hypermobility syndromes, and autoimmune conditions. We believe every person deserves compassionate, personalised care that acknowledges the complexity of their experience and empowers them to move forward with confidence.
We don’t just treat symptoms—we listen carefully, assess holistically, and build a plan that’s practical, evidence-informed, and aligned with your lifestyle. With a thorough assessment using our ears, eyes, hands, and cutting-edge VALD technology, we ensure your care is comprehensive and responsive to your unique needs. We also value communication with your broader healthcare team (GPs, pain specialists, psychologists, and other allied health professionals) to ensure a coordinated and supportive approach to your wellbeing.
Our unparalleled Strength Lab allows you to explore movement safely within our clinic walls—during assessments, rehab sessions, or in our small group classes. Equipped with gym and cardio gear, clinical Pilates equipment, VALD Force Decks, and plyometric tools, it’s a space where rehab meets empowerment.
Whether you're navigating a long-term condition, managing flare-ups, or simply seeking to move with more ease and confidence, OHL Physiotherapy is your trusted partner in recovery and resilience.
Once you’ve booked your initial consultation with an OHL Physiotherapist, our admin team will send you a registration form. We kindly ask that you take a few minutes to complete it with your current medical history, relevant symptoms or diagnoses (such as fibromyalgia, endometriosis, chronic fatigue syndrome, or hypermobility), weekly activity routine, and personal goals. This helps us make your consultation more efficient and ensures we can provide care that’s tailored to your needs. You’ll also have the opportunity to upload any relevant imaging, referral letters, or medical documentation, which allows your physiotherapist to prepare thoroughly before you arrive.
On the day of your appointment, please aim to arrive ten minutes early to allow time for check-in. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely, as this will help us assess your movement and function effectively—always with sensitivity to your pain levels and energy capacity.
OHL Physiotherapists welcome private clients, as well as those supported by TAC, WorkCover, the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, self-managed and plan-managed NDIS, and Medicare plans with a GP referral. If you haven’t uploaded your documents in advance, please bring along any referral letters, imaging reports, or notes from your GP, pain specialist, rheumatologist, psychologist, or other health professionals involved in your care.
Depending on your needs, your session may include time in our Strength Lab—a purpose-built space with gym, cardio, Pilates and testing equipment designed to support real movement assessment and rehab in a safe, supportive environment. We tailor this space to meet your energy levels, pain sensitivity, and pacing needs.

Our Team:
Our new dance screening combines objective strength testing with dance-specific expertise to assess strength, control, and movement quality. Each 45-minute session provides dancers with a clear summary of results and a personalised strength and conditioning program designed to support safer training, improved technique, and performance goals.
Warm‑ups before high‑intensity exercise consistently improve performance and reduce injury risk, but not all warm‑up methods are equally effective. Research shows that stretching, whether static or dynamic does not meaningfully enhance performance or prevent injuries for most sports. The most reliable warm‑up strategy is simple: rehearse the movements you’re about to do at a lower intensity, then gradually build up.
