The best way to maintain a comfortable weight is to have a healthy lifestyle, including eating plenty of nutritious food and getting regular exercise. Our talented OHL team can help you with both! The best way to nourish the body is to consume a plethora of foods from the following food groups: 1) A wide variety of vegetables, legumes and beans – the more variety of colours the better, 2) Wholegrains including: rice, bread, pasta, cereals, oats, polenta, cous cous, quinoa, millet, teff, barley, 3) Lean meats and proteins including: fish, chicken, beef, lamb, tofu, eggs, nuts, tempeh, legumes/beans, 4) Milk, yogurt, cheese and/or alternatives, usually low in fat and 5) Lots of water. Limit the following foods: added sugar, saturated/trans fats, added salts and alcohol. It is important to nourish the body whilst enjoying your favourite foods, instead of following a generic rigid meal plan.
